Books: The Adventures of Jimmy Skunk and The Adventures of Old Mr. Toad by Thorton W. Burgess; The Bobbsey Twins at Snow Lodge, Hope

Short stories: Beatrice Potter stories, Fifty Famous Stories, and a variety of other short stories

Day 1

1. Listen to Horton Hatches an Egg by Dr. Seuss. Horton has to be very patient, but he is rewarded in the end. Learning takes a long time just like hatching an egg, but there is a great reward for your patience in the end!  (If the video disappears, here’s another and here’s just the audio.)
2. While you are listening, you could draw a picture of the story.
